What we do

Water market is highly regulated industrial sector compared to general manufacturing and service industry. In rapidly changing regulatory environment, water industry needs a new platform to network local as well as global stakeholder. KWP is a bridge between private and public stakeholder.

Korea Water Partnership’s primary objective is to provide a platform for the Korean water companies. KWP’s membership is not open to all. It means KWP’s membership is the symbol of prestige and reliability.

KWP is creating a new network with international organizations to strengthen international cooperation and to improve the status of the Korean water industry. KWP closely works with public agencies including MoE, KWWA, KECO, KEITI, K-Water, etc. The National Water Cluster (NWC) in Daegu is another close partner to work with.

KWP has a strong network with professional societies, such as KSWE, KSWW, IWA KNC, and WEF Korean MA, and so on. KWP is the administrative secretariat for WEF KMA(Chair: Prof Z Yun) and IWA KNC(Chair: Prof SK Hong).

KWP represents Korean water industry at leading water conventions, including WEFTEC, AWWA-ACE, IWA WWC, etc.

KWP hosts regular industry forum in Korea, while KWP’s Global Colloquium invites experts to introduce advanced issues in water sector. KWP also provide a cooperative R&D support to KWP’s industry members. The cooperative R&D is extended to international organizations.
